This class was taught by Laura Shepardson.  Laura taught us about all the wonderful uses of technology in the classroom.  I absolutely loved this class and I hope to utilize the tool she provided for us in my own classroom one day.  She showed us how to use KidPix, which is a digital imaging program that is fun for all ages.  Laura showed us how to do digital storybooks, webbe books, movie maker and many more fun projects using the computer.  We also discussed how to do spreadsheets to keep grades or to track the progress of our students.  Laura made this class fun and interesting.

Practicum

For my practicum work we had to do a Webbe book with a grade level we were interesting in teaching.  I worked with Kelly Phillips 2nd grade class at Northeast.  The students had so much fun doing this project.  We divided into two groups in order for everyone to illustrate a page in the book (the storyboard only had twelve slots).  Each student took part in coming up with a line in the story.  The final outcome of the project was great.
