I am a woman
weak and strong,
but I don't let my weaknesses pull me down.
I strive through my strengths.
I am a wife
devout and faithful,
Marriage seems to be the minority.
Divorce is the majority,
but not for me.
My sacrament is sacred and true.
I am a mother
tough and loving.
I expect the best, yet sometimes it's too much.
I love and except my children for who they are.
I am a student
excited, unsure, confident, afraid.
My emotions are like a roller coaster.
I am a woman
a wife
a mother
a student
I am all of these people and more.
Rain
Rain comes down from the brilliant sky
pitter patter, pitter patter
It runs down my face
like the dew on a blade of grass
pitter patter, pitter patter
tap, tap
Pulverizing the ground
it knocks, as if its waiting for an answer
pitter patter, pitter patter
tap, tap
bang, bang
But wait!
It begins to ease
I look up to see the
glistening jewels falling from heaven
pitter patter, pitter patter
drip, drip, drip
It slows and then halts
It is dormant for now
Perhaps it will come out
another day.
